Presentation copy, inscribed on a tipped in letter: "Madam, Mr. Richardson informs me that you would like a copy of the little work I wrote some years ago on Hampton. I regret to say I have no copies left of the original illistrated edition, and not even a coplete one of the reprint and collected pamphlets, consequently the accompanying is the best I can supply you with under the circumstances. I am yours respectfully H. Ripley." This copy bound with two "Hamptoniana" pamphlets (No.s 1 and 2) at the end. Mild chipping to front wrap and upper text block edge, hint of staining to pages and edges, front cover detached, covers heavily worn and discolored. Item #14564
