A cartoon illustrated booklet published to promote a Chicago music and pinao store. Each page of text is accompanied by a page of cartoon illustrations, possibly by German humorist and illustrator Wilhelm Busch, according to a pencil note on the title page. "The sketches in this book both illustrate many familiar terms in music and also the visit of a great pianist at the house of his friend, who bought an elegant square grand piano at the Temple of Music. Happy host who need not torture the pianist, the audience, or himself with a performance on a poor instrument."
