More Than a Choice: Women Talk About Abortion
Boston: Abortion Action Coalition, 1978. Octavo, 8.5 x 7", stapled, illustrated wrappers, 24 pp, illustrated. A pamphlet issued by the short-lived Abortion Action Coalition, a pro-choice group founded in 1977 in Boston to oppose legislation that would cut state abortion funding. Written by a group of activists in the Boston women's liberation movement, the booklet tells the stories of four Massachusetts women on welfare "whose lives would have been directly affected by federal and state cutoffs of Medicaid payment for abortion." These anecdotes are followed by articles on the struggles faced by women and mothers. 15 in OCLC. A nice copy with wrappers a trifle toned and soiled. Item #13310
