United Kingdom? Circa 1860s to 1880s. Octavo, 7.5 x 5.25", stitched, 16 pp. A rare pamphlet of songs by a blind individual, possibly a mendicant who sold this pamphlet to support themselves. We were unable to find the text of the titular poem published anywhere else. The only clue as to the place of publication is the reused paper stock, which originally printed some kind of committee report from the Leicester Domestic Mission. In fair condition, trimmed at edges, likely with loss to one line of text of titular poem, some creasing, soiling and staining, lower 1/4 of front cover replaced with paper repair. Item #12301
