According to her obituary, Noland would have been 24 when this book was published. Though a native and life-long resident of Birmingham, Alabama, she graduated from the Foxcroft School in Virginia (founded by her Aunt Charlotte H. Noland) and then Holyoke College in Massachusets. Her writing extended to her career as a reporter and columnist for multiple newspapers in Birmingham. Light wear and foxing to edges of cover and text block edge. Item #10780
