Collection of Eight Colorado Hunting Photographs
Routt Co, Colorado: A.G. Wallihan, Circa 1880s. Eight albumen photographs, each measuring 8 x 5", on studio mounts, all captioned in the negative, seven with additional printed information to verso ("Wallihan's Big Game, Photographs, Taken From Live Wild Game"). One photo with additional caption to verso that reads "These pictures brought home by Fred C. Bowditch & James N. Bowditch on one of their early prospecting trips about 1860." Eight photographs by Colorado wildlife photographers Allen and Mary Wallihan. Includes: Antelope No. 6, 600 Elk No. 5, Deer No. 15, Deer No. 7, Antelope No. 7, Elk No. 11, Antelope No. 1, and a photograph of an elk with caption faded.
